Immediate Past President: Lori McDonald
674-7554 (ofc)
Greetings to NNDHA members and colleagues!

It was my honor and privilege to have served as NNDHA President for 2011-2012. A little history about myself. I graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene (BSDH). I will graduate this spring from the University of Nevada, Reno with my Masters in Educational Leadership. I had the opportunity to start teaching at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) Dental Hygiene Department in 2007. I enjoy giving back to the students the gift that was given to me by my professors 23 years ago.

As hygienists we are so blessed to be a part of such a growing and flexible profession. The opportunities are endless as the dental hygiene profession moves towards expanding our profession and improving our relationship with other stakeholders. Our role as healthcare providers is vital in making aware our role in working collaboratively with other disciplines increasing their knowledge of the connection between oral health and general health. I look forward to an exciting year with you; being a part of a remarkable profession that is continuing to grow and change as we move ahead into the future.

 Treasurer:  Maira Velasco

I am proud to be a member of our association and to help with the upward movement of our profession!
